Wood Farm Dorset

Friday 8th June – we arrived at our ninth campsite at Wood Farm in Charmouth , sitting on rolling hills over looking the small village of Charmouth with views of the English Channel and the surrounding hills. This is a brilliant site nicely situated on the Devon and Somerset boarder with easy access to several beaches and local towns such as Lyme Regis which we will explore as the week goes on.

Weekend – explored the area and Beaches on the Dorset coast, most of the beaches were pebbles not great for little dogs paws though.

Monday 11th June Visited Lyme Regis for a well needed haircut and wander around the fishing village. Early evening we walked down from the site into Charmouth and had a wonderful meal  at the The Royal Oak

Tuesday 12th June Visited a great village called Beer and explored the local shops and harbour…

Wednesday 13th June  is our last day in Charmouth, and I have to admit the site and location was one of our favourites so far. Everything from the individual bathrooms, to the campsite views. dog meadow and easy access to the village and beaches all made this a site to revisit some day. However there was on last task to do before we left and it was the dreaded dog grooming session we have booked in for Dudley. This was at Lu Lu’s in Bridport and was at the back of a pet shop. This provided good camouflage as Dudley happily entered the pet shop seeing and smelling doggie treats, however the smell of the groomers soon hit and he tried to make his escape….  Before and after below…
