Thursday July 5th – Last day in France, we managed to stay on site until 6pm as our sailing was not util 10pm. We only had a short drive to the port and arrived safely guided by the now expert Navigational skills of Nicky Rowe. The trip over was calm and we arrived into Portsmouth at around 9am – On entering the dock we were greeted by spectaticular views of the new Queen Elizabeth aircraft carrier…….
Friday 6th July weekend – Spent the weekend in West Wycombe near to my brothers house. Mum, Sue and Steve all visited and we had a fab weekend catching up and all the dogs running riot in the back garden. However when we returned to our van our fantastic awning that had served us well through out our 11 weeks adventure finally gave up with a loud bang as one of the inner tubes exploded…. Happy to say after some negotiations with the maker they decided to give us a brand new awning 🙂
Sunday 8th July – Trip Home decided to do the final leg in one go and hit the road at 10am – Good journey back with just one stop and all safely home and watching a proper TV by 5pm – The adventure has been fantastic – what can I say but hopefully this is just the first of what will be many more road trips for the Rowe’s…… Thank you all for following us. xxxxxx
